Spent today

at a meeting in the ancient splendour of the Guild Hall in York at a meeting. As you do I had a blether with one of the lads from that neck of the woods, well, Ripon actually, and to cause further confusion he watches Burnley. His gripe was that since their relegation ticket prices had gone up by £4. This season to watch second division football he has to shell out £28 a game. Certainly in that league as he told me there are empty seats in abundance at most grounds. On the way down I read another article which was saying that a season ticket at Molenaux, wrong spelling? Home of Wolves, you know, this season will set you back £1885, kid you not. The point I'm getting at is at a time when the English game a literally awash with money prices keep rising. The lad I was talking to that watches Burnley goes to about half the games he used to at Turf Moor, the rest he goes to various non league games in the area. Hopefully there'l be many more like him then maybe, just maybe something might change.
