Take over

I've kept quiet about the take-over, for fear of letting cats out of bags etc. I'm still going to keep my gob shut until the whole thing is done and dusted.

Trust chairman John Bell was on Radio Newcastle, you can hear the interview here:

Take-over Bids

This morning's edition of the Berwick Advertiser reported on two different bids to take over the football club. The first bid is from a consortium fronted by the Supporters Club, who have offered to buy a controlling interest in the football club.

The other is an unknown bidder from Edinburgh, with director Criag Forsyth cliaming that talks with that party are at an advanced stage. He even says that the deal could be done before Saturday's game against Albion Rovers.

The full article is here. This one could get interesting folks...

'Assault'

This is the 'assault' which prompted referee (solicitor by day!) Colin Brown to report Gary Greenhill to the Police after Saturday's game at Dumbarton. It happened after the referee ran 40 yards to flash a red card when Greehill crashed into Lennon after the ball had gone out of play.

I understand that Gary was arrested at his home on Sunday morning. He waits to find out whether or not the fiscal will take the matter to court. Utterly ridiculous!
