Turned a

wee bit of interest to youth football at Shielfield today and our newly formed under 17 team. I was in at the start when the trials took place but have heard scant little since then. I did know, through John Bell, that there is some bizarre situation where international clearance is required, thereby requiring certain paper work to be completed, in a long drawn out fashion off course relating to the boys born on this side of the border. It apparently means discussion between the various Scottish authorities, mad or what? The upshot being off course that they have had their first two league games postponed, at home to Morton and away at Livingston. Will it be sorted before the next scheduled game a week on Sunday?
