This story just won't go away. I have spoken to a lot of people this week, many of who couldn't believe what they read on Tuesday. It is a real sorry tale. Peter McAskill is man who has contributed so much to Berwick Rangers since 1956, it is sad that his connection with the football club has ended this way.
Having said that, the allegations are quite damning. And whilst the club haven't made a statement or gone to the police, Peter hasn't stepped forward to deny the story. So the whole thing is up in the air really, I doubt we'll ever really find out what has happened. The punters are usually the last to know, languishing at the bottom of the food chain.
I have lots of different thoughts about this, but until something is proven one way or the other, it would be unfair to post them on here.
