Ross County 2-1 Berwick Rangers

The slide back to the basement of Scottish football continued on Saturday at Ross County. Watched by the handful of fans who made the trip, Berwick found it hard going. This is another game I wasn't at, but I have spoken to a few people who did make the trip.

The general consensus is that we were dominated for most of the game by a strong looking Ross County side, but certainly didn't disgrace ourselves. Danny Swanson's second half goal gave us some hope but County finished us off in the end. The press reports suggest that the home side actually had four goals chalked off for offside!

Renwick spoke to the press after the game: “If we can keep playing the way we are at the moment then I am sure we will reach the turning point and the victories will come. I thought we really played well but, as so often happens when you are down at the bottom of the league, you just do not get the breaks and unfortunately that was the case with their second goal which appeared to be scored from an offside position,”.

And he added: “The one thing that really pleased me was that we went to the top of the league side and gave them a good run for their money and, hopefully, did not pick up any more injury problems on the way.”

Alloa on Saturday...I'm going to this one. No station at Alloa yet though, so those going on the train will need a taxi from Stirling.
