I was

informed today of a sad passing on Saturday past, that of George Christie, he of THAT team who beat Glasgow Rangers more than four decades now. The sad news came from a friend of Georges son and it's certainly fitting that it is mentioned on anything to do with Berwick Rangers Football Club. George played for the club from 1966-68 having signed from East Fife. He was off course a centre forward and scored an impressive 16 goals in 38 appearances.
He is one of a small group of Berwick Rangers players whom we can truly call "legends"
Our thoughts are off course with his family and friends.
RIP George.
