Eyemouth United 1-1 Stirling University

Popped over to Warner Park Eyemouth last night and took in a fairly good game where the Fishermen a quited themselves well against the league leaders. They put up a fairly gutsy performance in defense against the, at times, slicker moving students but they got a draw and deserved it. Stirling will probably confirm their promotion this Saturday but it was good to see the Berwickshire side get a point in a performance that often belied their league position. The night itself was dambed cold, if you know the park you'll know its pretty much open to anything the elements choose to throw at it but in the second half the wide died a little which made it a bit better. The game finished in semi darkness but nobody seemed to care. They're made of sterner stuff in the East of Scotland League.
