Yesterday

We finished our season at home yesterday in all too familiar fashion with a defeat unfortunately. The referee who had a stinker, gave a first half penalty that only he saw and justice was done with a great save however he continued in the same vain giving some other incredible decisions. Infact Mr Charlston had an absolutely rotten game and should take a long hard look at his performance and if he comes anywhere near being satisfied worry the next time you see that he's in charge of your game.
I went to the club dinner last night where the presentations were again made to the players concerned. Most were there and appeared to have a good time, as we all did I'd say, I presume those that weren't had notes from their mums! Was pleased to hear that local lad Dougie Brydon will be joining the squad for pre season. Dougie, you may know, left Shielfield for Coldstream after the break up of the reserves after some less than ethical treatment under the old regime. Hope he shows his true worth this time when under the present set-up he'll get a fair crack of the whip. Will be great to see a local lad in the side something I've been a long standing advocate of.
