Game 2
Berwick 0-5 Sunderland X1

Looks like a good thumping at Shilefield last night, but in parts we played some football. We never threatened them, but then you wouldn't would you? They had the Finn they signed from Spurs and David Heally who someone said would be on £9k a week, our entire week wage bill is way below a quarter of that, things in perspective and all that. If you were there, I know there weren't many of us, did he impress you, did he stand out, for me, no both times I'm afraid. Gribbon showed some nice touches and he's signed again. We'll take him for what he is, a striker who may get us double figures in goals this season, He may blow a fuse in the first game, may not off course, but he shows the modern day player trait in having absolutely no loyalty, but we know that so lets hope for the best from him.
