Game 3
Duns Amateurs 0-2 Hearts X1

Spent a pleasant evening at Gavington last night watching a much improved Duns side from that that I seen last season against Hibs (10-1 to Hibs, sorry Duns). And I certainly wouldn't say the opposition were any easier. In the Hearts side were 3 lads who have played in the first team whereas Duns started with 10 lads from the town. They tried to play passing football and for periods kept the ball on the deck, playing the ball out from the back. They were off course out shone by their full time opponents for periods of the game but not disgraced. Again, like last season, all at Duns had worked hard to make this an occasion and having Jeffrey's Brown and Gary Locke wandering amongst the crowd having photo's taken and chatting and signing stuff done no harm whatsoever. An enjoyable evening, look forward to the next one.
