Confirmed: Grant Returns!

Confirmation from the Official Website that Grant McNicoll has returned to training with Berwick. I had heard the news yesterday that he had been at Tuesday night's training session in Edinburgh, but confirmation only came last night.

Some good news at last. Grant should never have been freed in the summer, the man has Black and Gold running through his veins.

John Coughlin claimed that he couldn't keep Grant on the books because he was unable to give him half a season due to injury problems. This reason always seemed a bit thin to me and a quick check on Soccerbase.com reveals that McNicoll played 62 games out of 85 under John Coughlin. Maths was never my strongest subject at school, but I make that about three quarters of games, not less than half. I suppose we'll never really know why Coughlin let him go, the important thing is he is back!

Some more good news - Robbie Henderson will not be offered a contract after his appearance as a trialist on Saturday. A posting on P&B claims that there will be a couple of new signings before the transfer window closes next week.
