Spent the
day at Almondvale Stadium in Livingston today taking part in a Supporters Direct day for trust Chairmen. This was the second such session including chairmen from seven trusts. Joining me today were chairmen from Falkirk, Clydebank, Raith, Livingston, Morton and East Stirling. The day proved interesting and useful.
Going back to yesterday for a minute, we (the trust) had a recruitment stand just at the turnstiles at Shielfield, manned (and womaned) by trust board members. New members signed up which was great and made the exercise fully worth while. On the subject of numbers I was surprised at the lack of travelling fans yesterday. Arbroath usually bring a few with them but yesterday they all chose to stay on the Angus seaside. I counted 14 on the away terrace! Poor show lads poor show.
