The Scottish
Cup first round draw was made today. All the East of Scotland teams managed to stay apart, not so the Highland clubs where there are two all highland ties. The nearest to us here is over at Coldstream where the Streamers take on Forres Mechanics. Another interesting one is Selkirk against Bo'ness United. The full draw is posted on the East of Scotland site by the way.
Something else that caught my eye today was the newly Trust owned Stirling Albion stopping all complimentary tickets at their Forthbank Stadium and apparently they will not be requesting any at their away games either, only fair I'd say. They've worked out it could be costing them up to £20k a season. Great idea I'd say. At all levels of the SFL it should be totally unnecessary. Those that want to go should pay, simple. You always get those that reckon they should get in for nowt, what good are they to the club? Well done our Trust colleagues at Stirling.
