Kelso United 1-2 Vale of Leithen

Stood in the rain last night at Woodside Park and watched a fairly gutsy performance from both sides, and again, for the second time this season, was impressed with Vales passing game. Felt for the Kelso lad who took the ball full in the face, then with a vigorous rub just got on with it, and not another soul on the park paid him a blind bit of notice. There's no frills at this level is there, what would have the scenario been on the telly? Even got a free cup of coffee in their wee clubhouse at half time, as did anyone else in there mind. Reasonable game, despite the rotten weather which leaves Vale top of the pile on full points.

Also noticed that the Scottish Cup draw is due to take place on Thursday the 3rd of September, but if I'm right we don't come in till the second round, interesting none the less.
