Saturdays game

As usual at this time of the week thoughts turn to Saturdays game, at good old Ochiliew. Was remembering how it used to look the other day. They used to have their stand on the same side as the social club. It only ran part way down the side and was fairly tall.

Opposite was a covered terracing where the stand now is and the terracing behind the goal used to be open. The one constant has been the social club, where many a pint has been taken. Have always quite enjoyed a trip to Stenny over the years but can only remember once wandering into town for a pint.

Years ago a group of us got photographed "relaxing" behind the goal, on a sunny afternoon, with the headlines something like Berwick fans enjoy Steny sunshine. Truth of the matter was one to many ales had required yours truly at least to adopt a more horizontal position. Nothing at all to do with the weather!
